Support and Training Specialist

Location: Northeast US (based in Pennsylvania)
Position: Full time, salaried

Position Purpose:
The Support and Training Specialist will perform on-site installations and training of software for clients in assigned region. This is an excellent opportunity with a successful education software company. We offer a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and bonus potential. This position involves frequent travel (up to 80%) and requires lifting of equipment up to 60 pounds. This position will service New Jersey, New York State, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Michigan, and Ohio.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certification and/or experience with computer operating systems (Mac and Windows)
  • Understanding of hardware configuration and setup
  • Working knowledge of networking systems (Microsoft, Novell etc.)
  • General networking knowledge (LAN, WAN, switches, routers, proxies)
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP concepts
  • Previous training experience, preferably in academic settings
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with customers in adverse or challenging situations
  • Ability to establish priorities, maintain schedules, and manage time effectively
  • Professional image
