Position Purpose:
Imagine Learning is seeking an experienced psychometrician with the
ability to design and supervise the development of high-quality
assessments. This position will design assessment products
utilizing computer adaptive testing applications and input from
curriculum designers, guide the development and testing of new
assessment products, and present information to educators and sales
representatives on the tests' technical qualities. Occasional
travel may be required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Educational/Psychological Measurement, Statistics, or a related field required
- Minimum of one year of experience applying principles of measurement to practical testing problems
- Experience in applying item response theory (IRT) and other relevant psychometric models to evaluate test performance
- Experience in analyzing tests' technical qualities (reliability, validity, etc.)
- Experience directing teams of item writers
- Working knowledge of statistical software
- Experience in creating computer-adaptive testing systems from the ground up
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Proactive, independent worker
- Foreign language ability preferred
