UPDATE: Today is the last day to submit entries! Get them in and our panel will pick the top three. Come back to the blog on Monday to see the winners.
Every so often we hold a caption contest featuring artwork from Imagine Learning’s amazing illustrators. And since November is Customer Appreciation Month here at Imagine Learning, we thought we’d hold another contest and give away some prizes!
Here’s how it works: leave your cleverest caption for the picture below in a comment at the end of this post. At the end of the week, our bloggers panel will vote for their favorites, and the top three winners will each win a free Booster bobble head toy—the latest and greatest item here at Imagine Learning.
So write your captivating caption now!
At Imagine Learning, we like to celebrate the month of Thanksgiving by giving thanks to some of the most important people in our lives–the administrators, teachers, and students who use Imagine Learning English. And this year for Customer Appreciation Month, we’re pulling out all the stops.
We’ll be giving back to our customers by hosting giveaways and contests here on the blog and sharing some of our favorite resources for teachers, students, and parents. So stay tuned for an awesome month of appreciation, thanksgiving, and more.
To kick things off, here’s one of our favorite videos about the teachers who made a difference in our lives. Take a minute to watch the video, and then help us start out our month of appreciation and thanksgiving by leaving a comment thanking the teacher who made the greatest impact on your life.rtmp://sas-Flash.OnstreamMedia.com/ondemand/FlashDMSP/imaginelearn/Twitter/Thank_You.flv

Many thanks to all who downloaded Bookster, posted a review, and entered the giveaway. We hope you’re enjoying this free reading app from Imagine Learning–especially all the new books. Please keep downloading and sharing the app with your friends! And if you have any feedback about the app, be sure to post a review on the iTunes store or contact us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Have you ever tried to teach a class without turning your head? It may sound ridiculous, but that’s what I did on my first day of school three years ago. It was my second year of teaching a college-level course, and just before my 9 a.m. class, I pulled a neck muscle, leaving me unable to turn my head to the right. So I spent the entire class period looking to my left and shifting my entire body just to see the students on the right side of the room.
It may not have been the funniest first day of school at the time, but thinking about it now cracks me up. I can’t even imagine what my students were thinking!
Now that I’ve shared my ridiculous first-day-of-school story, it’s your turn to do the same. But luckily for you, there’s a prize involved. Just leave a comment sharing your funniest, wackiest, or most embarrassing first-day-of-school moment (as either a student or a teacher) before the end of the day on Friday. We’ll choose one lucky commenter to receive a classroom kit full of loot your whole class will enjoy: robot stickers and tattoos, fun window clings, and a free poster (see below).
