Imagine Robotify

Spotlight on “Projects”

A “Project” in Imagine Robotify is a gamified programming task in the context of solving a real-world problem. Some tasks have a concrete goal, such as getting your robot through a maze, while others are more open-ended. Projects are a great way to apply computer science principles in a hands-on manner

Student Motivation System Now Live

Keep your computer science students engaged! Our brand-new Imagine Robotify motivation system rewards virtual achievement badges for completing tasks, engaging with the platform, completing projects, and participating in competitions. There are also exclusive badges when students log in during certain astronomical or calendar events. Encourage your students to explore and engage, be creative with code, and use the motivation system to reward their progress!

How do educators grade activities in Imagine EdgeEX?

Managing student grades in Imagine EdgeEX just got easier! All grading takes place on the student’s grade tab. From the student’s grade tab, teachers can quickly:

  • Change a score on a system-scored activity
  • Award a score on a teacher-graded activity
  • Add a comment to a student’s activity without changing the score of the activity
  • Score an activity that a student has not submitted
  • For assessments only, allow a student to advance in the course by applying the student’s highest score (this feature is known as Pass with Score in other Imagine Edgenuity courses)

In Imagine MyPath, why are teachers seeing a message that they have no classes, but when viewing the class list from admin level they are connected to multiple?

This can happen when an educator is linked to multiple schools. When they log in, their landing page will show they have no classes. There are two ways to resolve this:

  1. Remove access to one of the schools so they only have access to one.
  2. If they need access to both schools, they can view their classes by selecting the “Schools” tab on the left, then selecting the school where the class is located. Once they’re in the school, they will see all classes they’re assigned to that are linked to that site.

What are best practices for deleting and archiving in Imagine Classroom?

  • Avoid deleting or removing resources if you share content with other educators. You may replace or edit a resource, but deleting a published resource may cause errors for others.
  • Whenever possible, archive instead of deleting published resources.
  • To replace a lesson plan that has already been published, start by archiving it. You will then have the option to redirect to another lesson plan or write a message explaining why it’s no longer available.
