Assessment Designer

The Assessment Designer directs the design of new assessments, writes new assessment items, assists in the analysis of existing assessments and provides technical expertise in meetings, presentations and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS 

Education and Certifications

  • Master’s Degree in Educational Technology or related educational field
  • Advanced degree in educational assessment and statistical measurement

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Teaching or related educational experience
  • Assessment design
  • Item writing
  • Understanding of educational research principles
  • Familiarity with educational measurement principles preferred
  • Experience measuring students’ language and literacy skills preferred

Skills/Abilities

  • Intermediate or Advanced MS Office skills
  • Strong presentation skills (oral and written)
  • Well-organized, ability to manage many tasks simultaneously
  • Broad and deep understanding of the abilities young students need to develop
