Grammar Strand
K-1 students receive focused instruction on nouns, verbs, question words, prepositions, singular and plural nouns, proper nouns, adjectives, pronouns, sentence structure, sentence order, present tense verbs, and the verb to be.

A new collection of activities helps students analyze informational texts.

Informational Compare and Contrast
Students in 2nd–6th grades learn strategies and practice comparing/contrasting various types of informational text.
Example: Compare and contrast the most important points and key details presented in two texts on the same topic. CCSS | Literacy.RI.3.9
New Informational Books
A new collection of stories in a 6th-grade Lexile range provide an opportunity for older students to interact with text at an appropriate complexity level.
Each book is paired with a similar text in order to build background knowledge. Questions and interactive glossaries provide scaffolding to support comprehension.
Example: By the end of the year, read and comprehend literary nonfiction proficiently, with scaffolding as needed at the end of the range. CCSS | Literacy.RI.6.10
