Research and Design consists of instructional designers who
have decades of experience teaching and designing educational software.
Research and Design also includes an ESL specialist who has spent
numerous years learning about and teaching English language learners.
The instructional designers spend their time researching the most
up-to-date and effective methodologies for teaching English language
learners, and then apply that research in designing exciting and
instructionally sound activities for English language learners in the
areas of vocabulary development, listening and speaking, phonemic
awareness, literacy, grammar, and syntax.
The Writing Department comprises writers who have an
extensive background in technical and creative writing. The writers are
mainly responsible for producing the interaction, audio, video, and art
specifications ("specs"), which tell the programmers exactly how each
activity should run. In addition, the writers produce all the software
documentation, including teacher guides and user manuals, as well as
correlations, reports, proposals, grants, fliers, and just about any
written document that leaves Imagine Learning.
The Audio Department consists of a very talented audio
technician who is responsible for recording and editing all the
narration in the product (in English, as well as seven other
languages), creating the sound effects found in the program, writing
original music for use in the product, and even coaching talent, when
needed.
Video Production is made up of exceptional videographers who
produce all the high-quality videos found in the product, as well as
Imagine Learning's "Success Stories" videos. Video production consists
of casting and directing talent, scouting locations, creating sets,
filming, and editing.
The Art Department houses extremely gifted artists who
produce all the original artwork and animations found in the product.
The artists use the most up-to-date technology in digital art and
animation to make Imagine Learning English visually appealing to all English learners.
The Imagine Learning programmers work long hours creating
and inputting code that makes all the design, art, sound, and video
come together to create an academically sound and visually appealing
one-on-one tutoring system for your students. The Programming
Department is dedicated to using the best and most up-to-date
technology available today to create an ideal English language program,
complete with differentiated instruction and strategic L1 fade
technology.
Customer Support is the heart and soul of Imagine Learning
as they are responsible for taking care of our valued customers.
Customer Support has three distinct responsibilities: quality
assurance, implementation services, and customer care.
The Quality Assurance Department tests the activities in the product
before they are released to ensure that there are no inconsistencies or
bugs that could interfere with their effectiveness. Each one of our
testers is committed to responding to the needs of our customers in
their native language.
Implementation services installs Imagine Learning on site and trains
new users; Imagine Learning's installers and trainers travel all over
the country, as well as internationally, ensuring that the product is
installed properly and that our customers are confident in their
abilities to use it most effectively.
Imagine Learning's first-class customer care center provides technical
support in all the languages currently supported in the product
(Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, Haitian Creole, and
French).
