Weld North Education (WNE), a leading digital education technology company focused on developing digital curriculum and tools for grades pre-K–12, today announced that its Imagine Learning business appointed Jeremy Cowdrey, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and Bryan Sparks, Chief Technology Officer, as Co-Presidents upon the retirement of Joe Swenson, President and CEO of the company. Mr. Swenson is departing Imagine Learning after seven years to take on an international volunteer leadership role with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
“Imagine Learning continues to be a great success story, delivering effective instruction to children across the USA. We have full and complete confidence that Jeremy and Bryan will continue the company’s strong commitment to changing student lives and opening doors of opportunity as well as growing the overall business. Jeremy and Bryan are proven leaders with a strong command of the market and business and even stronger vision for growth and customer success,” said Jonathan Grayer, CEO of Weld North. “We also want to thank Joe for his leadership and contributions towards making Imagine Learning the world-class company it is today.”
Cowdrey and Sparks will continue to drive Imagine Learning’s leadership as a front-runner in digital language, literacy, and math programs for pre-K–12 students across the country.
Sparks, who operated as Chief Technology Officer for Imagine Learning for the past four years, has founded and run several global software companies. Cowdrey brings twenty years of experience in educational technology management and sales, most recently serving as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Imagine Learning. Cowdrey’s knowledge of the EdTech arena joined with Sparks’ wealth of technical acumen makes for a perfect combination to move the EdTech company forward.
“I am honored and privileged to work with Bryan as Co-President of Imagine Learning,” expressed Cowdrey. “In my twelve years at Imagine Learning, I have had the pleasure of watching the dramatic growth of our company, observing the transformation of the education market, and observing how children’s lives are enhanced through our programs. I am excited for the future as we continue our mission of partnering with school districts to make a difference in the lives of all children.”
“Jeremy and I have worked together over the past few years and have great respect for each other’s character and abilities,” shared Sparks. “I look forward to collaborating with him in leading Imagine Learning to new heights.”
