We are pleased to announce the newest citizens of Imagine Nation, Imagine Learning’s elite school recognition program. Schools are inducted as Top 50 Schools for excellent Imagine Learning usage and as Super Schools for exceptional innovation or citizenship during the 2011-2012 school year. World-Class Schools, the highest honor, are awarded by meeting the most rigorous standards for weekly usage of Imagine Learning. Teachers, students, and administrators at each World-Class School will be honored for their exceptional efforts at a special award ceremony, and we’d like to thank them for their hard work and commitment to providing a world-class education. Last week the students, parents, and teachers at Langley Park-McCormick Elementary School in Hyattsville, Maryland, gathered to celebrate the school’s induction into Imagine Nation, a community of elite Imagine Learning English users.
For years Langley Park-McCormick had struggled to meet adequate yearly progress (AYP). Then about three years ago, the school began using Imagine Learning English to help its large population of English learners, which made up approximately 66 percent of the school. The school has reached AYP each year ever since.
Being named an Imagine Nation Super School is an exciting achievement for the dedicated teachers and students at Langley Park-McCormick. At an assembly, the school was presented with a banner and a plaque commemorating their accomplishment. Students and teachers even began to dance! It was definitely something worth celebrating.
Imagine Learning is thrilled to announce the launch of Imagine Nation, our exciting new customer recognition program. Through Imagine Nation, we’re recognizing our most passionate and dedicated Imagine Learning English users with World-Class, Top 50, and Super School awards. Each Imagine Nation school will receive a commemorative banner as well as a plaque or trophy to display at their school.
“Schools that have qualified for the Imagine Nation program are elite Imagine Learning English users,” said Derrin Hill, chief sales officer for Imagine Learning. “They have realized that this tool helps their students succeed, and they have made it a priority by restructuring schedules to ensure that all students have access to the program on a daily basis. We are thrilled to honor them for their achievements and share their best practices with other schools.”
