Imagine Learning Students Make Donation to Woodbridge Community Food Bank
Imagine Learning, a Weld North Education company and leading provider of supplemental adaptive learning solutions, today announced that students in New Jersey’s Woodbridge Township School District have raised $1,000 for the Woodbridge Food Pantry through Imagine Learning’s Imagine Math program, 9 days after learning about the funding opportunity.
During the donation period, students solved more than 49,000 math problems and donated 1 million earned math points, which translates to $1,000 for community hunger relief. This donation is a part of Imagine Learning’s charitable giving program, which has raised over $721,000 for local and national charities since its inception. Local and district officials conducted a celebration ceremony at the Woodbridge Food Pantry to recognize the top student donations and present the Food Pantry with the $1,000 donation.
“We at Imagine Learning are so proud of the students for accomplishing this outstanding feat,” said Jeff Pendleton, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Supplemental Products for Weld North Education. “With our Imagine Math curriculum—which gives students the ability to choose how to spend their points—these students succeeded academically while also helping those in need in their community. This experience has made a true impact on both the community and the students themselves, and we are so pleased to have been a part of it.”
The district’s vision statement states that, “The Woodbridge Township School District seeks to engage the entire community in instructing and inspiring our students to be successful and significant beyond our classrooms.” This donation is one instance of the district achieving that vision.
“We at Woodbridge Township School District are beyond proud that our students are a proud representation of what we stand for,” noted the Woodbridge Township School District. “Through the collaborative efforts of our administration, teachers, parents, and the students themselves, students will be giving back to their community in a significant way. This type of community service highlights the dedication of our students and will have a positive impact on the overall community. We hope the students of our district strive to continually make a difference in their community near and far.”
