Strategic, Research-Based Instruction
A differentiated approach

Say goodbye to one-size-fits-all instruction—and hello to a strategic, research-based curriculum that meets students at their own level. With Imagine Language & Literacy, every child receives explicit, targeted instruction within an individualized learning path that continually adjusts to their needs. Over 4,300 engaging activities teach critical language and literacy concepts such as reading and listening comprehension, basic vocabulary, academic language, grammar, phonological awareness, phonics, and fluency. Kids love the program because it’s fun and challenging. And educators trust the program because it’s differentiated, standards-aligned, rigorous, and effective.

Motivation and Engagement
It’s easy to turn on—and thanks to engaging content—hard to turn off

Why do kids always ask for more time on Imagine Language & Literacy? Easy—they love the interactive media presentations, videos, games, songs, and performance-based rewards. Students also build confidence and independent thinking skills through self-monitoring. What’s more, kids are motivated to set goals, achieve new records, or even beat a high score in a particular learning activity. After students collect performance-based virtual Booster Bit tokens, they can customize their avatar or visit the Imagine Museum. And they get to do it all while strengthening critical language and literacy skills.

English Language Learner Support
Enhanced support in a child’s primary language

Today’s schools are more diverse than ever, which is why Imagine Language & Literacy provides strategic first-language support in 15 languages to facilitate and enhance English language learning. As students become more proficient in English, this language support gradually fades. Along with strategic translations, the program also uses peer modeling to illustrate concepts more clearly: same-age peers explain what words and phrases mean via rich, contextualized examples.

Assessments in Imagine Language & Literacy
Ongoing Assessments
The curriculum they need—with the data you need

As students begin the program, they complete an Initial Placement Test, which determines a developmentally appropriate (or grade-equivalent) starting point for instruction. As students work through their individualized learning pathway, ongoing user-friendly assessments gather data on predictive and evaluative checkpoints. These checkpoints determine which upcoming lessons and instructional support options are best for each student. Teachers may also enable tri-annual, third-party measures for students via the Reading Level Assessment (RLA) and all students will take the Benchmark Test three times a year.

  • Ongoing assessments that direct instruction
  • Integrated, teacher-directed benchmarks
